Vita

I am a researcher and doctoral candidate at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW). I am a research fellow at the Kiel Centre for Globalization (KCG) and one of the co-hosts of the Research Network Sustainable Global Supply Chains. Before joining the Kiel Institute, I did a research internship at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). I hold a Master’s degree in Economics from the Kiel University.

I am an empirical economist interested in international and development economics. In my research I analyze global value chains, foreign owned companies, corporate responsibility, and social and environmental effects of globalization. In particular, I am interested in the effects of firms’ integration in global value chains and the role of (sustainable) corporate governance for firms and regional development. To study these issues, I analyze detailed firm-level databases using modern micro-econometric methods.
